Fringe Benefits

Have you ever put on an article of clothing and suddenly felt like you had more pep in your step? That’s exactly how I feel when I slip on these fringe shorts.

I’ve always walked to the beat of my own drum when it comes to what I wear. I go by the “business in the front party in the back” mentality most of the times and honey, it works! I wanted this look to be classic-yet-fun, so of course I added sequins to the mix.

Confession: I eyed these shorts for about a month before I bought them. I knew I wanted to feed my love of fringe clothing and accessories but wasn’t sure how I could make it work. I finally caught them on sale and snagged them and I’m glad that I did! I kept playing with the fringe when I walked down the street—I mean what fun is fringe if you don’t play a little?!

In case you’re wondering, my blouse is a thrifted Folio for Saks Fifth Avenue piece that I found a few years ago at my local Goodwill store and these sassy fringe shorts are from Nasty Gal. I threw on some of my y favorite heels from Zara because they have the perfect minimalist look to accompany the glitz of my top and the movement of the fringe shorts. I’m also wearing Gold Label Cosmetics lipstick in the shade “First Class.”

I know this 80-degree weather may not last forever, but I’m definitely enjoying the fringe benefits of being able to rock these shorts during this quirky Fall weather in Florida.
