I work full-time in the beauty industry and I’m always connecting with and meeting beauty professionals daily. So, a huge highlight for me at the Color, Cut & Style show was the #ONESHOT Hair Awards.
#OneShot Awards
These awards were inspired by the strong social media community that exists among beauty professionals. They’re always sharing their amazing work and have amazing camaraderie and support for each other’s work. As a result, Behind the Chair created this online contest where participants hashtagged their way to becoming nominees for the awards.
The cool thing is, there were people with hundreds of thousands of followers nominated as well as rising stars with less than a thousand followers.
Goodies on top of goodies
In addition to amazing runway shows, beauty presentations and the awards, there was product on top of product! I packed pretty light so I didn’t buy too much or grab too many samples outside of the amazing goody bag that I received from the show.
Besides the fact that I got a cute backpack, that I plan to put to good use, I also got a ton of product from some of the best brands in the market.
Look at all of this stuff! There was a lot of blue hair dye in the backpack, so I’m thinking that I might have to get some extensions colored for a little fun. Blue-black hair sounds good right about now!
I had a blast during this event and was so inspired by all of the passion, talent and excitement that I experienced. It really reminded me why I love working in digital media within the beauty space. This industry is my passion.
