Happy Friday F&B lovers! How’s your day going so far? I hope it’s off to a great start.
Of course I’m starting the day off by sharing some breaking news that popped up in my inbox last night, so it’s hot off the press! One of my fave hairstylist, Terrence Davidson, has announced that he is parting ways with his long-time friend and client Nicki Minaj citing “creative differences” as the cause.
You all know that I love me some Terrence Davidson. I’ve interviewed him on multiple occasions (here & here) and he’s always a pleasure. I didn’t think the day would come when I’d stop seeing his ah-mazing creations on Nicki Minaj, but I know that his future is oh-so bright! This is definitely just a new beginning for him.
Here’s an official statement from Terrence:
“I would like to inform the media and supporters that I’ve decided to step away as hair stylist and wig creator for Nicki Minaj. It has been an amazing experience offering me a chance to express my creativity and exhibit my love for the art form of wig design.
I have decided to part ways from Nicki Minaj because I would like to explore other opportunities within my own brand and re-energize my creativity through work in fashion editorial, beauty consultations, media personality, ‘how-to’ lectures and hair show development. I am very proud of the body of work built with Nicki Minaj and I appreciate the support over the years from fans who’ve expressed love for my craft. Look forward to seeing me larger than life in 2013.”
