Top Fashions From the 2012 BET Awards!

Last night the 2012 BET Awards took place at the Shrine Auditorium  in LA. Some of the biggest and greatest examples of black star power gathered for the event. Of course, the show is about entertainment, but fashion and beauty coverage are a MUST for the event (at least it is in my eyes).

Here are some of my favorite looks from the night.

There were several yellow dresses on the red carpet last night, but nobody rocked it quite like King B. She stunned in a gorgeous Stephane Rolland gown with a sexy hip-high split. (I wish she would’ve dropped the dress just once, so we could get the full effect, but she kept it bunched up in the palm of her had for the majority of the night…ugh!)

Selita Ebanks shut the red carpet DOWN in a Falguni and Shane Peacock gown. I just live for this dress! The sheer bottom is the perfect accent to the frock given these sizzling Summer temperatures.

Tamia was the epitome of ladylike glam in a textured, black Oscar De La Renta gown. Werk, hunty… werk!

La La had a lot of people on the fence with her wardrobe selection during last night’s festivities with her Lois London jumpsuit. I thing the look worked for her because it was nicely styled. Plus, those Jimmy Choo heels are the biz-ness!

Kyla Pratt looked nice and cool (in a sexy siren kind of way) in coral and cream BCBG dress. Round of applause Kyla…girl you did good!

Initially, I didn’t really pay close attention to Monica’s red carpet look, but after further examination the structured blazer and sequined pants combination is so appropriate for this awards show. I love the monochromatic look, and this deep, merlot color is fab.

The ladies weren’t the only ones who showed off their style last night, the fellas did their part, too.

Hosea Chanchez got beau coup cool points in my book, but wearing a royal blue suit, crisp white button-up and finishing the look with leopard print loafers. Say what you want about this look, but real men wear animal print!

Boris Kodjoe need no description…HE’S BORIS and when God made him he did for our viewing pleasure. Nuff said! (Although, he could’ve chosen a better shoe…)

These are just some of my fav sightings. What were yours?

Ciao Bellas,
