TGIF! I’m sooo excited for the weekend! Not because I have a lot to do other than attend a Super Bowl Party on Sunday, but because this has been a long week.
One highlight from this weeks was when I opened my mailbox and saw a package from Mally Beauty. (Yep, this is the product line from the fab celebrity makeup artist, Mally Roncal, who’s responsible for Beyonce’s makeup for the Presidential Inaguration. Get The Look!)
I was very excited to see what they sent me, so I immediately ran upstairs to my apartment to have my own little beauty party. Of course I was in glam heaven when I saw the Perfect Red Lip Kit ($35) Evercolor Shadow Stick in Saddle Shimmer ($25) in the shipping envelope.
The Perfect Red Lip collection came with three items. A lip primer, lip liner and lipstick. I was sent the Warm Red kit and it looks absolutely stunning. At first I applied the lip product without the primer and although it looked good, there was a world of difference when I used the primer first. It made my lips feel like buttah baby! The liner was nice and smooth and the lipstick was creamy with a nice satin finish.
I also fell in love with the shimmering jewel-toned finish of the Evercolor Shadow Stick. It’s definitely long-wearing. I tried to smudge it with my finger and it didn’t smear. I love the deep, baked bronze look of this shade and have already decided that it’s going to be one of my winter/spring staples.
I did a few swatches to see how they would look on my skin and was impressed by the pigmentation and smooth feel that each product had. (Swatches from top to bottom: Warm Red Lipstick, Warm Red lip liner, Saddle Shimmer eye shadow)
Today, I decided to put the products to the test by creating a simple office-ready look and I must say… I really love these products and look forward to adding more to my beauty collection! I would definitely recommend them.
