I. Love. Leather.
It’s pretty much like a good matte lipstick to me… I would wear it 24/7 if I could. Last week I went to the mall just to window shop, and I pretty much waled out of Banana Republic with these pleated faux leather ankle pants. I don’t know what I love the most about these pants, the relaxed fit or the sleek matte look they have.
I paired these pants with a bodysuit and a printed coat. Let me just say that I have a complicated relationship with bodysuits because I feel a bit restrained in them. But, the more that I wear them and try different cuts and style, I’ve cont to realize that comfort really boils down to is the fit and fabric.
This bodysuit came from Forever 21 (similar), and besides having a fab price point, the stretchy cotton fabric is very comfortable and breathable. I’ve noticed that I prefer stretchier materials when it comes to bodysuits because it gives me more freedom to move around.
I found this patterned coat for a steal at my local TJ Maxx store. It was on sale for less than $10! (Whoop-whoop!) I absolutely adore the eye-catching design and pops of color in this piece. It’s lined with a nice black linen material, which makes this perfect for transitioning it throughout the season in Florida.
I’m all about keeping my looks fairly simple, so I accessorized with strappy black leather heels by Guess and my favorite aviator sunglasses. I added a bit of color to my makeup look with a burnt orange lipstick by Beautie Brownie called “Bonfire.”
My 9-5 career is in the professional beauty industry, so all black everything is pretty much a norm and leather is the cherry on top! I can’t wait to style these pants with different items from my closet.
