Happy Monday, lovelies! I didn’t think I would be starting the week off with a major side eye, but then I heard about Kim Kardashian’s new Nicole by OPI nail polish collection. I’m sure you’re wondering what the big deal is since the Kardashian Kolors nail polish line has been around for a while, now, but it’s the naming of the colors in Kim’s new line that kinda irk me.
There are six lacquers in the collection and they all have one thing in common: Kim’s name is included in each hue’s title. There’s a pastel blue called “Nothing Kim-pares To Blue,” a nude shade called “Others Pale By Kim-parison,” an opulescent pearl hue called “Lights, Kim-era, Action,” and a honey-colored nude called “Kim Konfidential.” There’s also a girly pink hue called “Up & Kim-ing Pink,” and an opalescent shimmery sparkle called “Here Kim’s The Sun.”
Kim gave deets about the line on her blog:
“My go-to nail polish colors are pale pinks, whites and nudes, so I wanted to give you guys a similar selection that represent my signature look,” she wrote. “I love the names we came up with for the line!!”

Besides, their uber-vain titles, the colors are actually pretty nice. I love neutral, whimsical hues, so I’ll give Kim her props for having a decent line. Plus Kim is snatched in theses pics! Her hair and makeup are on-point andI love the way her blue dress plays off of the pale blue shade from the collection. (I could’ve done without the bow that’s connected to the dress’ sweetheart neckline, but Kim is killing it nonetheless!)
The colors are sold at drugstores nationwide for $7.99 each.
