I Started The Insanity 60-Day Total Body Conditioning Workout Program & I Love It!

A couple of weeks ago I went on-and-on to a friend about how much I wanted to try the Insanity 60-Day Total Body Conditioning Program, and to my surprise he replied: “I have it. Do you want it?” And the rest is fitness history!

The above pic shows me on Day 1 of my new fitness plan as well as my Fit Test results. At the beginning of the program everyone has to take a fit test to assess where you are physically and as a starting point to track your progress. I’m not going to pretend that this is an easy workout. Even the fit test was intense!

I was drawn to the Insanity because I’m balling on a budget and I wanted an intense workout that would. Luckily, I’ve only needed a towel and a bottle of water to accompany me with this program. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s no walk in the park. The training’s intense. You’re pretty much doing 3-4 high-caliber cardio moves for 1-minute each with a 30 second break in between. Moves such as mountain climbers, jack pushups, power squats, kicks, punches and oh-so-much more are all in store.

Don’t get weary if the workouts seem impossible at first because you will get stronger and faster with time. You just have to be consistent and work at your own pace.  If you can only do 20 seconds of a move, then work your hardest during those 20 seconds and aim for 25 seconds the next time. Trust me, you will get stronger and better if you push yourself!

This past Monday, I reached my 2-week mark, which meant that it was time for round 2 of the Fit Test. (There are 4 total.) I made improvements in all areas of the Fit Test and I’m happy about that, but I still have a long way to go before I reach my ultimate fitness goals.

This workout plan is no walk in the park, and I know that diet is key when it comes to sculpting and shaping your body, so that will be my area of focus going forward. I’ll keep you all in the loop with my progress for the next 7 weeks!
