I live in Florida, where the sun is pretty much always shining and the summer months bring on an entirely new level of HOT, so making sure my hair is properly moisturized is always a priority, especially as someone with naturally curly hair. I try my best to use products that will keep my hair healthy and looking good, so a trip to Sally Beauty is inevitable to help me slay my day!
I like wearing my hair down, but there’s nothing like the liberty that comes with rocking a bun! That’s why this quick-and-easy bun tutorial that I’m sharing with you is one of my go-to hairstyles for those days when I’m short on time. I used some awesome products from Sally Beauty to help me get the look.
Next, take kenekalon braiding hair in the length of your choice and fold it over into a U shape. Secure the base of the U shape to the back of your bun and wrap the hair around your bun to bring the ends around creating an X shape in the front of your bun.
Take the left side of the hair and pull it up through the through the loop at the top of the X shape. Pull it through until you create a loop. Tighten the loop until it’s comfortably secure around the base of your bun.
I just felt like having a little fun in this shot!
You should have two equal section of hair. If not, section your hair into two equal sections.
Take one section of hair and twist it. Wrap the hair around you bun as you simultaneously twist. Follow by doing the same with the opposite side. Wrap until you have no hair left. This usually creates a pretty secure base, but you can add bobby pins if desired.
Here are some other beauty goodies and products that I snagged from Sally Beauty, I’ve been wanting to try the Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil line for a while and I can’t wait to see how it works on my hair! Be sure to follow @SallyBeauty on Instagram for glamspiration galore!
