Once again my passion for fashion was set afire this week with the latest episode of VH1’s hit show “Styled By June.” This week June worked with former Danity Kane member and bona fide sex symbols Aubrey O’Day. She reached out to June because she wanted to revamp her look 1. She got asked to be a part of the cast of “Celebrity Apprentice” and wanted to look more professional and 2. She wanted people to take her more seriously as a person.
Unlike past episodes, Aubrey didn’t have a fashion breakdown. (Even thought there was one point of the show where June and her team had Aubrey to try on a shirt and she said that she would wear it as a dress! WDDA?! I had to shake my head and at the same time giggle.) June then explained the importance of layering (i.e. wearing pants with a shirt!) and realizing that being sexy doesn’t mean you have to show tons of skin.

She pulled some adorable looks for Aubrey to wear for a photoshoot that would be sent out to all the media outlets to introduce her makeover and rebranding. The shots came out absolutely lovely! My favorite look was the 70’s inspired dress paired with a fur vest. WERK!
Lesson learned: Being sexy is much more than showing as much skin as possible. Having a keen sense of self, and knowing how to accentuate your features without exploiting them is key. You can be covered up and still turn every head in the room!
Now, cover up those goodies and show just how glamorous you are!

I watched that epi too! I had to giggle at the same thing as you, as well as the irony of them giving Aubrey fiery red hair! The connotation of red heads isn’t too far off from her blonde bombshell sex appeal. They say redheads have more fun too. In sure she will make the redheads tribe proud as well. Ha!
Lol! This is so true! But, I must say, June is fab at what she does. Glad she’s finally getting some shine in the public eye!
