“Summer, Summer, Summer time! Time to sit back and unwind.” Not only are these the lyrics to one of my all-time favorite Will Smith songs, “Summertime,” but these are great instructions for this sizzling season–sit back and unwind! One of my favorite ways to unwind is by pampering my skin , so I jumped at the opportunity to review the newest Bath & Body Works collections, Summer Chill and Pure Paradise. (When I received that package in the mail I was smiling from ear-to-ear!)
Here’s a little breakdown of my thoughts regarding the summer collections:
Summer Chill Collection
The full collection contains three signature fragrances Coconut Water Chill, Citrus Orchid Chill and White Mango Chill.
I tried the Citrus Orchid Chill lotion and signature collection body gel, and strictly from reading the title, I had second thoughts about giving it a go. To my surprise I fell in love with the lemon-and-orchid fragrance. I’ve been using this lotion every night post-shower. At first I thought that I wouldn’t like a citrus and orchid blend, even thought I love them. (My favorite Bath & Body Works scent is Enchanted Orchid.)
I also tried out the White Mango Chill body signature collections body gel and lotion. While I do like this scent I didn’t love it as much as the others. It’s a white mango, kiwi sorbet and strawberry frost frozen with muguet blossom and blue sugar cane mix. I think it’s just a little too sweet for my taste, but it’s doesn’t stink and I wouldn’t be opposed to recommending it.
Pure Paradise Collection
First of all it’s hard not to like a bath collection with a name like this! (Can’t you just picture yourself lounging on an island somewhere thinking “I ain’t got no worries!”… a girl can dream, right?) I samples the Pure Paradise body signature shower gel, lotion and fine fragrance mist and enjoyed the he scent. It’s a mix of guava, cassis, and fresh star fruit notes. (The bottles are all practically half-full!)
This collection is very glam and totes made for the girl who wants to have a sun-kissed look before even stepping a foot into the sun. It also contains Beach Bronze Leg Shine, Beach Glow Body Lotion, and Beach Bronze Leg Shine. I definitely need that leg shine in my life!
I’ve gotta admit… I really enjoyed each of the collections and I’m sure I’ll be making a lot of use out of them, and probably adding more from the lines to my heft collection of Bath & Body works products.
