Have you ever been in a semi-rush to complete your makeup look, and you manage to get your foundation, blush, eyeliner and lip gloss on with just enough time to dash out of the door to make it to your destination on time, only to realize that you forgot to apply a makeup essential– mascara? If all of my makeup is on-point, but I don’t have mascara on, my eyes feel naked, and obviously having a great product is key.
I received some free samples of Lash Control mascara, and I can only describe it as love at first swipe. Everything from the product’s color-coded formulas and assortment of brush sizes made these lash treats look and feel pretty official!
At first glance, you might think that these are your typical mascara tubes, but each one has a color-coded rubber portion near the middle of the tube that you squeeze while removing the brush applicator to help avoid clumping while applying.
My go-to products from the line are the Pink, Clear and Purple tubes. The pink is lengthening and conditioning mascara in black, which comes with a full tapered brush. It went on smooth and there were no clumps. It definitely got my vote of approval.
The purple, which is my favorite, is a volumizing and conditioning mascara with a zig-zag brush. (I love this brush!) It separated my lashes and gave great coverage. I’m a two-coat kind of girl, but this gave such great coverage that I could’ve gotten away with just one.
The clear top coat is good for adding a little oomph to your lashes. You can use it as a second coat, or by itself. When I want a more natural look, I use it by itself. It’s also great for keeping your brows in place.
This is definitely a product that I’ll keep in my beauty kit! I can’t wait to order the other formulas and try them.
